Blue Note Bourbon recently added a toasted French oak bourbon to its portfolio. "Crossroads." Blue Note's production team indicated in official tasting notes hat the new expression is bottled at 100 proof and features bold, aromatic flavors of toasted French oak, with notes of baking spices, toasted almond, Manuka honey, roasted marshmallow, and vanilla.

Although the bourbon is light on complexity, which is the only thing that gives away the bourbon's age, its overall drinkability ends the bourbon on a high note. The bottle shape is very plain and reminds you of a shorter wine bottle. Maybe this wine bottle design is on purpose, hinting at its toasted French oak curated from France theme. The bottle has the highway signs 61 and 49 on the label, which is a tribute to "The Devil's Crossroads" in Clarksdale, Mississippi.
